Here's a quick update on what's going on at MultiMerch lately!

There are two major things we're currently working on – rating/review system improvements and mass product uploads.

Positive reputation and a social proof that vendors get from reviews and star ratings is a powerful marketing asset that helps customers make decisions faster and with greater confidence. We've created our MultiMerch rating system with this in mind and are making it even better!

So, here's what you can expect in one of the upcoming MultiMerch updates:

Customer image attachments for product reviews

Modern customers look for visual, engaging content – this is also true for product reviews and ratings. Being able to see the actual product before purchasing it is no longer optional – it's expected.

Therefore, we're introducing images in product/vendor reviews.

Image uploads for reviews

Customer images make reviews much more personal and trustworthy – so it will soon be possible for customers to include their own photos of the product they're reviewing that will be displayed alongside the review for all future customers to see.

Comments on reviews by customers and vendors

To make MultiMerch reviews even better, we're also introducing a comment system for reviews that will allow vendors and other customers discuss a particular review.

Review comments

Reviews are a vital part of the sales cycle and commenting enriches the review process and adds even more social proof – it also makes it possible for vendors to respond to reviews (both positive and negative) if they think bringing their own opinion to the table can clear things up for other customers.

CSV product imports

Now this is a huge one – we've been promising bulk imports/exports for a while now and the system is finally taking shape. What is currently designed for product imports will be further extended for importing/exporting vendors, reports and other relevant data.

At this point, vendors are able to upload CSV product feeds that are acquired from various third party providers, map CSV fields to MultiMerch product fields and get all of their products imported at once. It is also possible to save the field configuration for uploading the same type of CSV in the future.

Mass product import steps

This feature is still work in progress and we'll definitely have new designs for it before the release, but once it's done it will be much easier for vendors to migrate to MultiMerch and bring all of their products with them.
